I am very saddened to learn of Julie's passing, and I send my condolences to her family and friends.
I first met Julie in the mid-70's when she arrived at Hereford School in the same House as me - Hillary. She was a lovely chatty girl, and we'd occasionally walk home together as she lived on Cross Coates Road and I in Wimborn Avenue. I left school in 1977 and became reacquainted in the 1990's when she was living on Hainton Avenue, where I'd pop in now and again for a cup of tea, a catch up, and reminisce. I saw her again just after the turn of the millennium near to where she lived on Oxford Street, and she came across to help a woman who had locked herself out of the house. That was the last time I saw her as I moved away soon after then, and shall keep fond memories of that friendly, chatty girl from school whose cheerful acquaintance I encountered during the years afterwards.
I cannot attend on the 11th, but Julie will certainly be in my thoughts on that day.
